We were commissioned by Biophilia and So It Goes agency to create a book and all event materials for ‘Biophilia’ a charity event by Synchronicity Earth.

The logotype and identity was based around the work of Alice Shirley. The event itself was organised around 8 geographic areas organised by characteristics with a painting to accompany each one – all containing areas where the charity was active.

If you were sat in a particular, desert for example, area you would have received an invitation and book with the relevant invitation painting.

We designed the book and all associated materials and invites printed in London.

Creative Direction

The studio was tasked to build a brand identity and e-commerce site for creative publication and store ‘Creatures’.

We commissioned Illustrator Jiro Bevies to create a character for each letter of the logo – which was then brought to life by director Andy Baker as you hovered your mouse over the logo or touched it on iphone.

The resulting interactive logo is brought to life as the mouse hovers.

The concept was then further explored in the business cards for Monica.

An on-going collaboration we continue to work with Alice to further refine the site and improve it.

We worked with Bryan Ferry at his Olympia studio to design the type treatment and packaging for the ‘Live in Lyon’ film. As the brief was entered around a booklet design we wanted to lean into that and create a beautiful book jacket with an inset cover image.

We worked with Porter to create a brand new e-commerce platform that allowed users to customise their products as they chose them without compromising the luxury aesthetic they were known for.

We wanted to showcase the provenance of the marble alongside beautiful imagery and photography with a minimal identity that complemented the quiet interior shots.

The key feature of the site was the ability to customise the bathrooms and vanities via the e-commerce platform which required a super tight shoot direction to allow the previous to update seamlessly working with photographer Gyorgy Korossy

Low Bias, a record-label releasing tape albums borne out of their NTS radio show, approached us to create a brand identity, package and e-commerce solution.

The logo based on the tape spools and type identity, mimicking the hand-stamped type on the side of the labels, reflected the low-fi nature of the project.

Artist Bella Marin was commissioned to create pieces for each release to be printed via risograph – this extended to branding for the monthly radio show on NTS.

We created the posters and promo videos for Low Bias events.

The site allowed you to download the tape artwork and print them yourself as well as buy tapes and posters directly.

Trunk Flooring, the sister site to Porter  Vanities, utilises the same type identity we developed.

Operated by the same family the concept for the site is a simple grid layout that can be used for portfolio shots and material previews.

The Journal posts utilise a vertical and horizontal scrolling system browse previous projects.

And the grid system is flexible enough for them to curate them as they prefer with allotments for white space where the team feel they need them.
